Liv, Mari and Eiksund

Liv!

Liv's big, beautiful eyes 

Liv was born on February 9, 2013 while we were visiting Liv's mother's sister's, family, Unn, Ole Morten and Ola.  Liv and Liv's mother, Ingvild, father, Arild, and big sister, Mari, live in Eiksund in Sunnmøre.  I think that Sunnmøre is one of the most beautiful areas of Norway.  You can read about the area in this tourist page link, here.

Tove and I were anxious to meet Liv and Mari, so we decided to drive from Trondheim to Eiksund for Palm Sunday weekend.  Liv is precious, just a sweet little baby girl.  Mari is a good big sister.

The weather was beautiful for the entire weekend.  It was our first taste of Spring 2013, as Trondheim was still firmly ensconced in late winter snow and ice.

There are lots of new houses in the neighborhood.

The fjord's shore is just a short walk from the house.

We noticed a lot of ruckus/squawking in the pine trees behind the house.  It turned out that a flock of blue herons has decided to make the trees their roosting home.

There are 10-12 herons roosting up there.

This reminds me of pterodactyls  

We took a nice, long walk with Mari.  She enjoys being outside and the weather was so nice!
