Speaking of Norwegian language class ("Norskkurs" in Norwegian), I started mine the last week of August. There are around 22 students in the class and they are from all over the world. We have people from Africa, Australia, Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Latin America and one from North America (me). We have two doctors, a dentist, teachers, lawyers and nurses in the class. Some are asylum seekers, others are from war-torn countries and some are married to Norwegians.
The classes are held three days a week. We have 10 hours of class time and, at least for me, at least 10 hours of homework. I really enjoy the class. I feel I am behind the others (many have been here 2-3 years), especially when it comes to grammar and syntax. Tove, her family and our friends have noticed that my Norwegian has improved since I started the class. I think I have improved, too, but it is still frustrating to make so many grammatical errors. I am glad that I am taking the class.
