As the day wore on and we grew weary, we started looking for a place to stay. We stopped in Jokkmokk
and considered staying at a hostel there, but Tove suggested that we drive on and look for a stuga available for overnight stays. A stuga is a small vacation cottage or cabin. I highly recommend this inexpensive form of accommodation should you find yourself traveling through the Nordic countries.
Just a couple of miles south of Jokkmokk we saw this sign: (Ledig means "available")

| There were several cottages/cabins along the lake in Oskarsudde |
 |
| We followed the signs.... |

| We spent the night here. I think it cost about $50. |
This was the highlight of the trip through Sweden. I could have stayed here a couple of days. I think you'll understand why in the next post.
