Easter in Norway Part II

Easter out at the island was a crazy experience.  The weather was horrible, but also, at times, horribly beautiful, and as my kids might say, "ridiculous".  We had to laugh.  At times it was snowing horizontally, then it would change to sleet, then hail, then absolute still, clear blue skies, followed by gale winds and snow again.  I tried to capture the moments, including a beautiful full moon.

The "dark" photo was taken in the middle of the day!  It is rare for Mausund to have snow in April.  These were taken a day apart.

I think that I took 75 sunset photos.  I do not know if these are the best; after a while they all look the same.

The neighbor's barn will not last too many more seasons!

It was cold when we took our hike to the top of the hill.

You can see that it was a downpour (probably sleet) in the distance.

 A break in the weather . . . momentarily.  Those clouds were upon us minutes later.

On Easter Sunday, Tove's cousin, Ulf, invited us to go fishing with him.  As we walked the short distance down the hill to the dock, the wind blew hail and snow into our faces and we considered not going.  But then it stopped snowing and the sea became fairly calm.  We caught 4 nice-sized cod.  Ulf also caught a huge clam that had clamped itself tightly onto the fish hook of his drop-line.  None of us had ever seen that before.
